Green Eggs and Ham

You live in Sam-I-Am's town, just down the street from his resturant. You are a picky eater who does not like Sam-I-am's ridiculous meals no matter how hard he tries to make them enjoyable. You are regularly going about your day, sitting on your porch, when out of the corner of your eye you see Sam-I-Am carrying another ridiculous meal toward you... [[Go greet Sam-I-Am->greeting]] [[Go inside your house->inside house]]

You stand up from your chair and walk out to Sam-I-Am. (text-colour:#d8db00)["Hi Sam-I-Am"]you say (text-colour:#97c75c)["Would you like some green eggs and ham"] says Sam-I-Am as he holds his plate out to you. (text-colour:#97c75c)["They are very good"] [[Try the green eggs and ham->greet eat]] [[Run away->greet run away]] [[Politely refuse->greet refuse]]

You get inside and close the door just in time to see Sam-I-Am walking toward the house. You take a few steps back and begin to wonder if he will walk past you. Just then you hear the doorbell ring. You decide to ignore it and walk down to your living room to take a seat. You cant hear any sound from the doorway anymore and begin to think Sam-I-Am has left. Just as you breath a sigh of relief he opens your back down and walks in carrying his green eggs and ham... (text-colour:#97c75c)["I am Sam"] he says while walking in with his green eggs and ham,(text-colour:#97c75c)["do you like green eggs and ham?"] [["I do not like them Sam-I-Am"->going to mouse house]] [[Try them->house trying]] [[Get Sam-I-Am out of your home->defending home]]

As soon as Sam-I-Am finishes his sentence you shove the plate away from you and sprint in the opposite direction. As you run you see Sam-I-Am chasing after you with his green eggs and ham, and hes starting to catch up. You wonder what Sam-I-Am will do if he catches you, will he force the eggs down your throat, maybe he is scared too and will ask why you're running, or maybe he will turn you into more green eggs and ham... you have to find a way to escape Sam-I-Am.. You reply to Sam-I-Am (text-colour:#d8db00)["No thank you Sam-I-Am, I do not like green eggs and ham."] Sam-I-Am asks again (text-colour:#97c75c)["But would you try them, you might like them."] What do you do. [[Try them->greet eat]] [[Run from Sam-I-Am->greet run away]] [[Politely refuse again->Greet refuse again]]

As you keep running straight forward you begin to feel your legs weaken. Sam-I-Am is right behind you. You have to keep running. You keep trying to go faster and faster until... As you collapse and pass out you see Sam-I-Am hovering over you; he is saying something to you but you cant hear him. You fall unconcious trying to escape Sam-I-Am and are rushed to the hospital where you make a full recovery. [[Back to Start->Title and Intro]]

You turn sharply and run into the nearby shrubbery as fast as you can. You begin to get tired after running for so long so you need a place to hide. You look around you and see a few landmarks: the river which has a boat in it, a box hanging from a tree, an abandonned house, and a train. Where do you hide? [[The river->Run away River]] [[The Box ->Run away Box]] [[The abandoned house->run away mouse house]] [[The train->Run away train]]

You turn and run into the river. The water slows you down and the current tires you out even more. You are too tired to swim so you try to turn back to shore but slip on a rock and fall into the water. You fight the current and pull yourself back onto dry land only to look up and see Sam-I-Am standing there. Sam-I-Am says (text-colour:#97c75c)["Looks like you had a bad slip in there, here try these green eggs and ham they will make you feel better."] You try to get up and run away but you are too tired to move. Sam-I-Am draws closer, puts his fork out, and says (text-colour:#97c75c)["Here have a little taste"] [[Try them->run away trying]]

You turn and run to the box hanging from the tree. You reach the base of the tree and try to climb up into the box. When you are halfway up the tree a fox jumps out of the box and lands on you causing you to fall. When you hit the ground you see Sam-I-Am walking towards you with the fox by his side. Sam-I-Am says "(text-colour:#97c75c)["Looks like you had quite a fall, try these green eggs and ham they will make you feel better"] You try to protest but Sam-I-Am walks closer he outstreches his fork and says (text-colour:#97c75c)["Here just have a little taste"] [[Try them->run away trying]]

You turn and run to the abandoned house. You get up to the steps of the house and throw open the door. You step inside trying to find a hiding place even deeper inside the house. Suddenly a mouse pops out and trips you as you take a step. You tumble down the stairs and land right at Sam-I-Ams feet. Sam-I-Am says (text-colour:#97c75c)["looks like you had quite a stumble there, here try these green eggs and ham, they will make you feel better."] You try to protest but Sam-I-Am leans in closer and says (text-colour:#97c75c)["Here have a little taste"] [[Try them->run away trying]]

You turn and run after the train. You begin to catch up to the train but it is short and still far away. Soon after you start running you tire out and watch as the train speeds away from you. Sam-I-Am walks up behind you and says (text-colour:#97c75c)["Looks like you missed your train. Want to try some green eggs and ham, they will make you feel better."] You turn to run again but trip on the rails and fall into the dirt. Sam-I-Am hovers over you with a fork carrying his ham and says again "(text-colour:#97c75c)["try these green eggs and ham"] [[Try them->run away trying]]

You open your mouth and gulp down the meal. You find that it tastes...well it tastes very good. You exclaim (text-colour:#d8db00)["I do like green eggs and ham, I do like them Sam-I-Am!"] Sam-I-Am helps you up and you both walk back to town while eating green eggs and ham. You say to Sam-I-Am (text-colour:#d8db00)["No Sam-I-Am, I appreciate the offer but i will refuse I simply have too much to do."] You begin to think of something you can do around your house to escape from Sam-I-Am as you walk away. When you turn to leave you see Sam-I-Am standing dissapointed as if he was still frozen in the moment he asked you to try his green eggs and ham. [[Enter your house->inside house]]

(text-colour:#d8db00)["Alright then I guess I will"] you say as you grab the fork from Sam-I-Am's hand. You take a taste of the ham and then the eggs. You find that they taste delicous and you love them. You take the plate from Sam-I-Am's hands while wondering what could have happened if you didnt try Sam-I-Am's meal..... You stand up from you chair as Sam-I-Am points at the surrounding ground. Sam-I-Am follows closely behind as you walk onto the dirt trail that starts near your house. You see what appears to be an abandoned house further up the trail just as Sam-I-Am offers his green eggs and ham again. (text-colour:#97c75c)["Bringing you a tasty meal, its green eggs and ham"] Sam-I-Am says walking after you. (text-colour:#d8db00)["Get out of my house Sam-I-Am"] you grab a fork preparing to defend yourself. Sam-I-Am walks closer and picks the fork out of his green ham. You raise your fork and yell to Sam-I-Am (text-colour:#d8db00)["Stay right there! dont come any closer."] Sam-I-Am stops walking toward you. He raises his fork taking a piece of ham with it. Sam-I-Am says (text-colour:#97c75c)["Try my green eggs and ham"] before throwing the fork at you. It hits you in the head and you fall unconsious. When you wake up you find an empty plate of green eggs and ham next to you at the table along with a note. You continue on the trail trying to reach the house. Shortly before you arrive Sam-I-Am goes quiet but you dont look to see if he has left because you need to keep moving. You turn a corner around a bush and arrive at the house. The house seems to be in decent condition, but that doesnt matter to you once you see Sam-I-Am. He is sitting next to a mouse on a window sill. Sam-I-Am says (text-colour:#97c75c)[" would you try them in a house or with a mouse?"] You look further down the trail and see a crate hanging from a tree. (text-colour:#d8db00)["I will try them in a house and with a mouse"] you say as you walk toward the window. You take a forkfull of green eggs and ham as the mouse takes a bite. The green eggs and ham taste delicous and you exclaim (text-colour:#d8db00)["I do like green eggs and ham, I do like them Sam-I-Am!!"] Sam-I-Am leaves the plate on the window sill and walks off while you and the mouse share the remaining green eggs and ham... You continue walking past the house toward the hanging crate. Sam-I-Am and the mouse follow after you. When you reach the hanging crate you see that there is a fox inside of it. Sam-I-Am climbs up into the crate and turns to you saying (text-colour:#97c75c)["Would you try them in a box or with a fox?"] You take a look further down the train and see the railroad in the distance. (text-colour:#d8db00)["I will try them in a box and with a fox"] you say as you climb up the tree toward the box. The box shakes as you climb into it but it stays in the tree. You take a forkful of green eggs and ham as the fox takes a bite. The green eggs and hame are delicous and you exclaim (text-colour:#d8db00)["I do like green eggs and ham, I do like them Sam-I-Am!"] Sam-I-Am jumps out of the box and walks off as you and the fox enjoy the remaining green eggs and ham... You continue walking down the trail toward the tracks. As you walk you hear Sam-I-Am and the fox jump out of the box and walk away. You briefly contemplate turning back after you hear Sam-I-Am leave but decide to keep walking for a bit. Once you reach where the tracks you find yourself on the top of a steep enbankment looking over the railroad. At this point you turn around and begin walking back home. All seems well until suddenly you see a glint of metal and hear an engine coming down the hill. Sam-I-Am is driving a small roofless car directly toward you. You turn to run back down the hill but you cant outrun Sam-I-Am. The car takes you off your feet and you land on the hood. Sam-I-Am is racing down the hill with you on the hood of his car. The fox and the mouse are in the back of the vehicle behind Sam-I-Am holding the plate of green eggs and Ham. Sam-I-Am yells over the engine (text-colour:#97c75c)["Would you? could you? In a car? Try them, try them, here they are!"] You refuse him in a panic and think of what to do. [[Hold on to the car and hope Sam-I-Am stops->train]] [[Jump off the speeding vehicle->jump off car]]

You refuse to try the green eggs and ham saying (text-colour:#d8db00)["I would not, could not, in a car, you let me be!"] Sam-I-Am continues driving the car down the hill. You point your eyes forward again just in time to see the embankment flying away beneath you. The car lands with a deafening screech on the train. You look down over the side of the car and see a cliff face leading to the river on your right. You look back at Sam-I-Am who says (text-colour:#97c75c)["A train! would you, could you, on a train?"] as he holds out the green eggs and ham... [[Try them->train trying]] [[Refuse them->tunnel]]

You quickly reposition yourself on the car and roll off as far as you can. You hit the ground hard and roll down the hill slightly. you look up just in time to see Sam-I-Am speed off the embankment and jump over the train. You dont see the car after it disappears behind the train so you stand up and walk back home. [[Back to start->Title and Intro]]

You quickly grab the fork hoping that accepting the meal will make Sam-I-Am drive off of the train. The green eggs and ham are delicous. You say in a panic (text-colour:#d8db00)["these are delicous Sam-I-Am but can we please get off the train now!"] Sam-I-Am floors the accelerator and snaps the wheel left. The car leeps off the train just before the train enters a tunnel and Sam-I-Am drives you home safely. [[Back to start->Title and Intro]]

You refuse the green eggs and ham saying (text-colour:#d8db00)["No Sam not in a train or in a car!"] Sam-I-Am holds the plate out expectantly as the train enters a tunnel. He says (text-colour:#97c75c)["Say would you, could you, in the dark?"] You refuse him again as the train exits the tunnel into a waterfall. Sam-I-Am asks again (text-colour:#97c75c)["Would you, could you, in the wet?"] You refuse again as you feel your grip on the car weaken. The train is now going across rickety rail bridges between the cliffs and above the river. Suddenly a goat falls onto the train just in front of you. Sam-I-Am sees the situation and says (text-colour:#97c75c)["What about with a goat?"] [[Try them->Goat trying]] [[Refuse again->boat]]

You take the fork while muttering under you breath in a panic. The green eggs and ham taste delicous but the rails beneath you seem to be faltering. You begin to tell sam that the green eggs and ham are delicious when suddenly the train falls through the rails and lands on the boat beneath in the water. The boat sinks immediatly sending everyone into the water. [[Swim out of the water->The end]]

You refuse Sam-I-Am again and he looks dissapointed. At that moment you feel the train shudder as the rails begin to collapse under the added weight. You grip tighter to the car as the train falls through the rails and lands on the boat beneath in the water. The boat sinks almost immediatly as you a thrown off the car onto the fractured deck. Sam-I-Am lands next to you and says (text-colour:#97c75c)["would you try them on a boat?"] before you both slide off into the water. You say to Sam-I-Am (text-colour:#d8db00)["No Sam-I-Am I do not like green eggs and ham."] Sam-I-Am replies (text-colour:#97c75c)["You do not like them so you say, try them, try them, and you may."] you think for a moment as Sam-I-Am made a good point... You say to Sam-I-Am (text-colour:#d8db00)["I do like them Sam-I-Am, I do like green eggs and ham!"] Sam looks at you delighted and leeds you to shore with the rest of the onlookers.
